BBC Midlands Today's weather team faced an unexpected problem on Wednesday - their graphics only featured temperatures as high as 32C and had to be remade with numbers up to 38.
Well I managed to listen to the majority of the WM daytime schedule today, catching a bit of Mollie between 515 & 610, then tuning in later for Daz & Jo onwards from just after 8 at work, until just after 4.
Mollie trailed Danny Kelly's show which had mention of an item about 'Urine Therapy', which prompted the question from yours truly, 'Is Danny Kelly taking the p ?'
Ed's show from Weston had the usual suspects guesting, from the odd WM presenter (Yes Les Ross got the train down there!), to the likes of ex CBI supremo Digby Jones, Ed's 'pet' singer songwriter friend John Williamson & the 'Kath & Kim' actresses! (I don't watch the programme personally!).
Admittedly some bits were a bit cringeworthy.(The 'drop in' bits of various people congratulating Ed on his birthday for instance)
Talking of 'Yours Truly', I noticed in the Radio Leicester listings that Waddo seems to be presenting solo thesedays. Where's Julie ?
id like to know who everyone thinks is a better stand in for suzanne when shes away
personally I like suzanne, a trained journalist who also has a good chemistry with nick and very good at reading the teleprompter.
shefali just a weather presenter, not trained journalist what so ever, been with the programme for many years and has never really accomplished anything
I always get confused though why sometimes its sarah with shefali doing the weather and sometimes shefali reading the news and sarah reporting while simon does the weather
Tonight's MT was presented by Mike Collie & Shefali Oza, with weather from Simon Keeling.
Can't remember who did sport, attention was distracted by the 'sad trekkie' sister wanting me to sort out her new laptop, as indeed yours truly & other sister did as well.
(Thanks to a cute sales assistant at PC World Wednesbury!)
Blast from the past(apart from that tower block being demolished on Sunday!) : Kenneth Kendall being interviewed by Les Ross on WM, plus a rerun of the Eddie Large section from Friday's Doolan jolly at Weston.
