Surely "Central Tonight" on it's own would sound better? "Central Tonight at Six" just sounds clumsy - if they still want to push home the fact it's on at six o'clock bit then they should be leaving it as Central News at Six.

Anyway, tonight I loved Nick and Sarah on the gondola at the end of Midlands Today... with a radio mic that kept cutting out so you couldn't hear a word either of them were saying, the fact they were travelling with their back to the camera and Nick not having a clue when the programme was ending.

I still think Kay Alexander is someone's mum who was just passing and got asked to "have a go" at presenting a regional news programme. But I love it.

It is being advertised as ITV Central Tonight. Wonder if we will see any other improvements? They have seem to have gone back to the old backdrop aswell, with the wider view of Brum, albeit with the same old bad picture quality.

For those of us who grew up in the Midlands, Kay is *everyone's* mum. Very Happy

CNE hasn't changed its title for 6pm show-- has CNS? Or is it just CNW?
