why did you get your own desk though?
To be fair it was more of a coffee table.

They found that if they gave him a desk, only his head would be visible, so they gave him a little teddy bears tea party table. Bless.

I didn't think the regions (not nations) got a clean studio feed - that being why we get the mess with the bed during the headlines

when the six presenters hand over, nick and suzanne thank them, with the six presenters in the plasma (we are very well mannered here in the midlands don't you know).
i'd guess bbc mids had the network feed going into the plasma instead of the clean studio feed, and thus when london opted, it all went wrong.
that wasn't the only mistake tonight mind, the ident audio at 6.00 carried on underneath the first couple of headlines on the six.

i was presuming because i'm sure i have seen a clean output of N(whatever number the nationals come from) on the ring main, huw/whoever sitting in the chair twiddling his thumbs. and i would have thought LDN would have opted long before bbc mids have a chance to cut away from the plasma when they thank natasha during the hand over?
who knows.

Birmingham Mall today is saying Phil Upton for WM Breakfast once Goldie leaves (& after Daz Hale's done 2 months cover work!).
Will Goldie still be doing The Politics Show, or is there a new presenter for that as well?
The article also said that Upton didn't have any current affairs background or summat.
I do hope it works out better than Les Ross' stint on the weekday brekky (which is probably why he's on weekends!).
So far scanning other radio forums(Digital Spy & UK OnAir), no one's mentioned 'Why hasn't Keith Middleton got the slot yet?'
Does Keith Beech have other pages in his address book other than B for Brmb, H for Heart, S for Saga & W for Wolf ?
I'll give Upton the benefit of the doubt, because I never listen to BRMB anyway, but why doesn't Beech go for Ian Perry from BBC Radio Shropshire, next time there's a presenter change on the Late Show, because he was great on Beacon's Midnight Line about 10 years ago?
(Alternatively why don't Shropshire, Stoke & H&W spend some money a create their own weekday late show with Ian as the presenter?)
