Is there any reason why Wesley Smith presented Central West tonight?

Why did the 10.30 update come from the sports screens and the window was not even seen in the wide shots? Problems? Changes?

i know they've been cleaning the windows looking out onto the canal at the mailbox late in the evenings this week - possibly that.

Cheers anyway TV M.

Anyone else wonder how many tree jokes Nick was going to come up with tonight?

I see Chinnie's back on the box with 'Passing Time' again !

Are Ashley Blake & Sarah Faulkland the only bikers on MT ?

BTW has Sarah ever done a motorbike related report ? I only remember ever seeing Ashley on a bike !

Is it me or is there some pretty fit female reporters on MT these days?

Sharuna, Satnam & Eve for example! Very Happy

mmmm Satnam & her whip !!

Er, where was I.

Les Ross interviewed Paul 'Avon from Blakes 7' Darrow this morning, in his 'Where are they now' slot.

(Margerine, or whatever her name is, the newsreader this morning admitted being a Blakes 7 fan & having season 1 on DVD.

(I'll admit at this point I did buy all the episodic video releases when they were released in the 90's !)

9(?) hours of sport today on WM, kicking off at 11am, with the build up to the 12 midday kick off of Birmingham City v West Bromwich Albion, followed by coverage of Dave Jones first return to Molineux with current team Cardiff City, since he was sacked by Wolves, in favour of Glenn Hoddle.

Oh & there's a Villa match too !

Talking of WM newsreaders, what's happened to Shabina Akthar ?

She ain't been on for weeks !

I think the weather forecasts on Midlands Today are of a very poor quality. Take tonight for instance, the wetaher forecaster was outside reading a weather forecast and not even bothering to relate it to the onscreen graphics, which were about 10 seconds behind what he was actually saying. they whizzed through them so quickly you hadn't got a chance of understanding what was happening or when.

He might as well just stand in front of a static caption and read that out rather than use the graphics. Very poor!

Hi - did anyone watch the lunchtime bulletin today? If so did you manage to catch the name of the female doctor that was being interviewed in the studio?
