The computer's giving Les problems today, but whether this has anything to do with Les' alleged attempt to 'go live' to Big Ben, to see if there are any workers fixing the clock, which has had mixed results with songs & jingles going missing!

I've texted in to tell him the Sky clock is right 'to rub it in', even though Ceefax is 'buggered', according to a caller from Erdington.

Other Side Of Nick Owen at 12 today, which I presume is a repeat.

Doolan back tomorrow at 10am.

Anyone spot Suzanne Virdee in todays Merc ?

Problems at the Mailbox - apparently the MT bulletins at 8.28 and 8.55 didn't go out this morning due to a power cut

Any problems at Radio WM?

It sold on ebay for £20. By the time I found the auction it had finished! Thanks for the info though everyone.

its a history of pebble mill in photos - its a nice hardback affair, so i guess £20 would be a fair price for it on ebay.

I know no one is probably interested but todays Central Lunchtime news, the backdrop seemed to be much better quality, and looks like they have finally gone back to the original blue colour for the studio, looks much better, have to say it is the best studio of all the ITV regions, except the view.

Anybody know how many of these CIN BBC WM trails there are?

(The ones mixing what a presenter wanted to be when they were growing up, along with a Wogan voiceover & that Sugababes recent no 1 !)

So far, I've heard Mollie wanted to be a air hostess, Daz Hale, a footballer(I think) & Paul Franks, a bus conductor.

Talking of Mollie, yours truly got a mention the other morning, when she was banging on about anybody seeing Mars in the sky, when I texted in to say 'I see Mars every day, along with Milky Way, in the warehouse where I work!'

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes (I know, but I couldn't resist Laughing !)

By the way, in case anybody is wondering why I'm not mentioning Jon Gaunt's column in the Sun, my answer is 'Why give the prat a bigger ego than he's already got anyway!

According to Digital Spy & UKRadio.com, Tony Butler is looking after the old Gaunt WM slot until Xmas.

I do wish Herr Flick would consider Radio Shropshire's Ian Perry as a replacement for Gaunt, as he used to do the late night phone in on Beacon/Wabc, or does the fact Ian used to take the occasional mick out of Doolan & John Taynton, preclude him from being considered, which is petty IMO. (We could've had him years ago instead of bl**dy Shabina!)

They've probably cut the budgets back so much they can't send reporters out to the "sticks". Midlands Today covers the region far more fully, although it could be better.

Or ITV Gas Street Tonight. My personal favourite.
