Were my eyes deceiving me or did I & my sister(The Sad Trekkie one!) really see the WM Wonder Moose costume hanging on a peg behind Michael Collie just?

(Must fly. I'm retuning to Saga & listening to Andy Marriott's Tv theme programme from now until 10pm!)
i think your eyes are deceiving you - certainly wasnt there when i was in.

ta for mentioning andy marriott's programme on saga - i feel such an anorak listening to it, but its fab! his voice always takes me back to the good old days of central.

Ain't we all anoraks on here TVM Smile

See if you can get a tape of today's teatime bully, because my sister spotted it first, & said it looked like a reindeer Rolling Eyes

Colin the bl**dy Woodpecker indeed Laughing

I see the Leamington Man U fans were giving the Scouser a bit of grief on the text this morning.

TVM, if you able to 'nick' any audio from WM, try & get the 'Barry from Bloxwich' phone call from between 11 & 1130am.

I don't know the guy, being from Bloxwich myself, but it cracked me up Laughing

interesting - heres a still from the bulletin

you may be right - and with it being bank holiday, moosey would more than likely have been dusted off and given an outing to middle-of-sodding-no-where fete or something. perhaps the poor sod from wm who was wearing it couldnt manage the extra few steps to the wm "offices"

I'll have to remember to set the video Monday & leave the SKY box on all day(Did I tell anyone we're 'Multiroom' now, with a + box downstairs & I've got a newish Thomson upstairs, which would've been the Amstrad, if it hadn't died!), to see Gaunty at work!

I'll have to remember to come online Saturday lunchtime, to hear 'Welcome to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire' at 12 via the web feed, as well.

Out of curiosity, are CWR getting regular news bulletins during this rolling programme, & are they from Holt Court, Priory Place or the Mailbox?

Would I be correct in thinking that the only proper CWR only programme at the moment is the Alan Miller Early Show, 'cos the other stuff is rolling or from Brum?

How's Big Al getting on by the way on earlies?

Miss his & Mollie's banter in the mornings! (Mind you I have been waking up later lately & only catching the 6am news & Mollie & Jane's musings!)

Whoever was operating the vision mixer today wasn't paying much attention, was he? We ended up on the wrong camera about 3 times!

I loved Dan's expression each time it happened and got "stuck" on him though.

[Also - Hi, I'm a newly joined Midlands Today fan who's only just found time to register. I've been watching Midlands Today for months, and been around the studio at Pebble Mill about 4 times. I've also been to a Mids Today staff away day; I'm nothing like a newbie Wink Very Happy

I'm also working on the BBC Local TV project which pilots in the West Midlands over Christmas for 9 months. So you might even get to see me on screen! ]

Whats with the stupid side angle shot on Central News just lately? Presentation is just cr*p. The set has gone downhill fast, and the lighting now is very poor compared to last September when it first launched.

I'm working on the user-generated content side of the local tv project for the duration of the trial.

iirc the boards for some of the local tv jobs were today.

methinks mr parkes is trying to pretend he is important.

potentially anyone on this forum could say they are working on the local tv project community content. although there will be community content coordinators, their job will just be to drum up interest, for groups to submit items for consideration.

no doubt every community group/media college/anything remotely media-ish has been contacted in the last few months.

and its not always the vision mixers fault - remember, the director calls the shots, quite literally.
