And very fab it was too!

Suzanne and Mike outside - Mike's mic wasn't working...so cue a handheld mic...which frequently didn't work either...

Mike was then on his own for a few minutes whilst he interviewed someone:

Then he donned his jacket and rejoined Suzanne:

But then a sports preview...for no reason at all...in the newsroom:

Shefali also did her weather from outside:

The content of that Midlands Today looks supberb. I would switch over from Central, but I cannot leave Bob. Very Happy , even though the programme content is rubbish on the ITV Central News.

I am not one for watching 30 mins twice together of the same news. I just wish Central would get their act together. Todays 6.00 programme opener was a mess, ugly Sport stings. A supberb set , but Central's use of it is very poor.

it does, looks great though (other then the camera in the way)

it is wierd to look at, as though the credits at the bottom are on the mat as if its VR, which i know it isnt Razz

im actually suprised that the MT studio is still looking good after it's relaunch. most studios within a few weeks begin to look grubby ect

Do you think it is best for this thread to go seperate ways? As a bigger Central fan, I think Central is getting too much overlooked. Maybe a seperate thread for each may improve, and help us Central fans out a little? Only a suggestion.

the reason central is getting overlooked is because no-one who watches central is posting. not because there is some kind of pro-bbc mids conspiracy.

i see suzanne and mike are on the canal side by red peppers tonight, they've even taken a studio camera with them!

If Planning Permission goes through, there may well be a new backdrop building for the canal side views before long!

Mailbox 2 - "The Cube"

It's proposed to be built on the site of Brough's factory and the adjoining buildings, and would also include the viewing tower and former "Fish" restaurant.

I watch Central if I can, but it's pretty unremarkable these days (not something i'd like to say)

Press Gazette has an interesting piece on Central's handling of the recent big stories from Birmingham:

Whirlwind 48 hours of television news
Adrian Tennant on how ITV Central News coped with two extraordinary days of breaking news in Birmingham — including terror arrests and the destruction wreaked by a tornado

Yes but maybe a Central thread may actually help the people who do like Central, rather than trying to talk over the BBC Midlands info.
