Just now on Central News South was a Sports update for the entire Central region. Teams in the Central South region didn't get much of a mention but what would you expect? I'm sure I haven't seen it before and was presented at the Central West studios so I presume trhis was seen on all the 3 sub-regions.

Haven't they always done a pan-regional sports roundup on a Sunday. It used to be presented by Phil Mepham when Central were in charge of ITV Sport (are they anymore!?)

not sure if they did last season?

anyway - heres a trip down tea time sport memory lane ...

Last season we had Soccer Extra (i think it was called) on thursday night at about 11 with SJM all itv regions had there own version with football league highlights. The season before Mashin Bashin (or some thing like that) presented it on a sunday called soccer sunday i think he now presents BBC 1s Footbal Focus.

Around 20 video journalists, between three and five community/user generated content producers and five hub producers [will] provide local rolling news for the Hereford and Worcester, Stoke, Birmingham, Coventry and Shropshire areas from September.

The trials will last for nine months and, if successful, will be the forerunners of around 60 similar services introduced across the UK as outlined in Building Public Value.

Up to ten minute sequences of local news will be accessible at fixed points within each hour via the red button on satellite tv, and on demand via the web, broadband tv or mobile phones.

Jobs now advertised on bbc.co.uk/jobs for Assistant Editor, Community Content Producers, Hub Broadcast Journalists, Hub Operators, Online Sports Senior Broadcast Journalist, Senior Broadcast Journalist and Video Journalists.

thatll be because mr hart has taken chas' position whilst chas has moved onto bbc midlands interactive service. although i doubt the change in editor will see many changes.

the fact the interactive is being versioned for mobiles is news to me. good idea though.

Interesting. BBC Radio Shropshire have just handed to Micheal in Birmingham for a look at whats to come on the programme and the hand-over described Micheal as " Midlands Todays lead presenter "

Since when has this been the case?

thought id post a few pics i took of the sad demise of pebble mill today, i know there are some in the other thread - but its the kind of subject matter you can't get enough of.

i was hoping to get a lump of pebble mill to treasure forever, like the berlin wall, but the risk of asbestosis or revealing myself as a saddo prevented me from going that far Laughing

awww, I do think you should have got a bit though and rushed into the studio at the mailbox.

Such a shame, but it's better to think of all the fabulous things that pebble mill brought us over the years - like anne and nick.
