Anyone else seen the BBC Local Radio 'honda cog style' adverts?

They must be doing them across the UK, as I've seen them like that for BBC GMR and BBC Radio Merseyside. Spoofed very well IMO.

So, only a month to go until the big move, according to Nick. Lets hope they give Pebble Mill a good send off, with a few specials programs as we get closer to the date.

further to my original post about mark foster - ive heard that he is leaving bbc midlands today - so that was infact his last appearance. i think he is moving to central, but not 100% sure on that.

the "official" send off of pebble mill and opening of the mailbox happens late this week onwards (friday i think?) - with the new DG putting in an appearance somewhere along the line. the actual move does not occur till october. the last incarnation of midlands today in its current form will be a little bit before the move - then they will decamp to the conservatory (wahey!) then onto the mailbox.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but...

On what date is CNwest moving back into the studio? And will the CNeast move be at the same time?

Thanks in anticipation.

I can't be bothered to trawl through a whole "generic thread" to see if this has already been mentioned - I presume this is part of the reason why the moderators want(ed) to end such threads, but you lot foolishly think that million-page threads are a good idea! Rolling Eyes

Sorry I dont think we know yet- maybe try emailing Central News?

Also may I add if you want people's help you shouldn't criticise the old thread, which people put a lot of effort into and was a good resource. Then it was just closed and in my opinion wasn't right.

Why couldn't it just have been transferred across to this new forum and carried on....??

Mollie's off ill, so surprisingly Nikki Tapper, the Sunday gospel show presenter, has been presenting the WM early show since Wednesday. (Mollie was heard asking what side was her appendix on. Whether this is the reason I don't know !)

Also off at the moment are Ed Doolan(Trish Adudu sitting in on the weekday show, but Ed is live from York on Sunday though!), Waddo & Julie(Keith Middleton & Tom Manners sharing the Late Show duties!)

Former 'Doolan' stand in presenter & Midlands pop legend, Carl Wayne has died from cancer this week. I guess Jimmy Franks on Saturday will have some sort of tribute to him. (I was talking to my boss & said that I reckoned the funeral would be a 'Who's Who' of Midlands pop legends paying their respects!)

Put A Lot of Effort In? This thread has just become about BBC WM. This is a TV Forum not a Radio Forum. Someone only requests about Central News, and gets slagged off, by a person who doesnt even belong to the Midlands.

Child.

Westy is a TV Forum legend. His WM updates have been a part of TV Forum for as long as I can remember – and I for one find his posts very interesting.

Well, the new Midlands Today studio has a giant glass wall as one side of it looking out across the new newsroom and to the canalside bit of the Mailbox beyond...

... and you'll be able to pop in and see the gallery through windows from the public areas at mailbox (as well as many of the radio studios).

I don't see it elsewhere in this thread (well not since the silly decision to close the old one, or it's hidden under pages of detail about RadioWM presenters); I'll not bother posting the pics and other info I have about the move, Drama Village, and some open days at Mailbox then if you know it all all ready.
