Why not just have a, say, 5 minute pre-rec summary from Tim Willcox in N24? It would certainly give them an excuse to plug the channel;

Marr: "And now, from the studios of BBC News 24, here's Tim Willcox with the morning's news, good morning Tim."
Willcox: "Look at my hair. It makes me look gay. Also coming up today...."

What's wrong with Moira's slot? Why replace her with Tim over at N24????? It is the great lady's five minutes on a Sunday morning that makes the whole thing watchable.

(Said in jest.................)

So how do the BBC get away with the pre-recd summaries on their interactive boards? Mark Percy would be bloody tired after doing the summaries all night in a tiny little green box, shirely?

Ahh, Thats what they want you to beleive. He's really chained to the desk...

Why can't Moira do it? She used to a few years ago on Breakfast. "Now over to Moira" With a giant 24 on the backdrop.

Because it would possibly save the BBC money in having to bring Moira in on a Sunday, save time in dragging out the desk, preparing scripts for a separate presenter, frees up one camera at least, more space in the studio is freed. They've brought back the Frost idea of having Moira in the studio instead of feeling like she was in N6, but with the naff Breakfast desk it just doesn't work.

Ok Any news programmes on the Broadcast channels are always live. Interactive is a different case

Poor old Moria got thrown by Autocue being in the wrong place at the top of her summary

Ahh now I get you. Well, why not have news at 0935 after the weather? Or revert to the old trick of making the viewers think Moira was in another studio?

She doesn't use Auto-Cue. The Great One actually memorises everything!!!!!!

According to the Metro this morning, Sunday AM's studio is going to be "overhauled" after many complaints from viewers.

They apparently complained saying it was "too old fashioned", "too cluttered" and didn't leave enough room for Andrew Marr to find a seat Rolling Eyes

A case in point on how stylish design can be lost on the masses.

Expect changes from this Sunday.

I expect they were referring to the changes made from yesterday, with less clutter on the shelves, etc.

Barney Jones talked about the tweaks to the set on Friday's Newswatch.
