So is this a large green screen with each camera being locked off and each having their own background being keyed in or what?
Probably - though you can do some clever stuff with garbage mattes and DVEs which mean you can do fake wide shots without a green screen as big as your shot.
Very impressed! Keying is, on the whole, pretty solid - you wouldn't really be able to tell from the main shot of the two presenters that anything is different, and having shots of all the usual camera positions is a nice way to ensure continuity, and due to the number of shots used makes any differences even less noticeable (they'll be no cries of 'why oh why are they only using the double headed shot' from viewers in Hove!). When the screen is reflected in the desk they've even set it up so the reflection of what is actually on the screen is showing, as opposed to the image underneath the screen.
Are they using the desk from the set, or are the computer keyboards now just props to maintain the illusion? The reflection on the desk is the backdrop sans presenters, so I would assume not.
Just watching the Breakfast opt, is it me or is there a very slight lipsynch issue on the presenter shot? Perhaps the processing for the CSO adding a frame of delay to the pictures which hasn't been compensated for in the audio?
They could have at least used the newest version of the desk
Oxford's new set was done on a tight budget so to save costs, BBC London's coffee table from when they were in Studio V (now The One Show studio in Peel Wing) was refashioned into a desk.

What happened to the desk used at the Olympics that could be raised and lowered - weren't we supposed to be seeing that re-used somewhere?
I cant understand why they didn't just go into the newsroom for the duration of the revamp like the days when they used to sit in front of a plasma on stools.

London, I believe although it was stated that they would get a larger version of their current set, co I guess that desk isn't being used at the moment.
