Mark Mardell has announced on his blog that he will be replaced by Gavin Hewitt. Not who I expected to be chosen, but he does have lots of reporting experience I suppose.

I echo your comments wholeheartedly, Stitch. Not who I expected, but surely carries enough experience to just carry it off nicely!

I honestly anticipated Jonathan Charles would move back to the Europe office.
