I think she's been on leave for a while, but she was on News 24 yesterday. Also, I don't think that Jeremy Bowen will be Mid East Editor - I think that he will be the natural successor to John Simpson as World Affairs Editor when he eventually retires.

I'm sure that this has been discussed in another thread but I would imagine that one of the current political correspondents (maybe Guto Harri) would be promoted. Others have suggested a new editor/chief correspondent partnership of Huw Edwards and Martha Kearney.
