Didn't see that one coming. I thought the BBC would ensure Gracie and Simon McCoy would keep their very successful on-air partnership. She does have connections with China and has spent much time there in the past so I imagine she will be a success in Beijing.

After 20 years at BBC World (News), Martine Dennis has left the BBC and will join Al Jazeera as a Doha based anchor. She will appear on air from February onwards.

Really bad news for BBC World viewers. I will miss her a lot and I doubt I'll get to see her on AJE since AJB simulcasts 3 hours when I'm not home.
