Does anyone know if NBC moved out of ITN/Greys Inn Road. During today’s impeachment hearings they had their chief foreign correspondent, Richard Engel live from London. I’ve never seen this space before at ITN and their small insert studios there don’t look like that. So I’m wondering if they’re moving into the Sky campus or perhaps this is a new DTL camera (the ones the have at ITN are the newsroom and a monitor wall backdrop) or perhaps he was originating from somewhere else completely. Regardless it’s a new aesthetic from the current DTL / plasma backdrops they had before.

I don’t know for sure, but I think they have already moved. This tweet from a recent guest in the NBC News London green room has Sky Sports on in the background. It also looks more like a Sky corridor, if that makes any sense! Recruitment for the global news channel is underway so it makes sense for their team to be in Sky Campus already.

Was catching up on my YouTube subscriptions and thought his clip from Samantha Bee (from a few weeks ago) was pretty funny:

I watch Velshi (or listen) almost daily but never noticed that.

I havent noticed it either. Funny. I like Velshi and Rulhe. She takes no prisoners or rubbish. He does dominate her a bit, but I like them together. I like when they both realize someone is talking rubbish and they both go in.

To think she had a meeting with CNN for a primetime show (according to FTVLive). The only thing I don’t like about Velshi and Ruhle is the fake door showing what’s coming up at TOTH against the glass doors

I think she dominates him. Also she seems so at ease at times like laying back in the chair while grilling someone.

Maybe Glenn originated from there but in August they were still using both cameras at ITN. And I saw the newsroom flash cam this week.
Don’t let anyone treat you like you’re a VO/SOT when you’re a PKG.

NBCU officially opened their NBCU Boston Media Center today with Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra today at 5pm. The facility is 160,000 sq ft with six studios and will house NBC 10 Boston (WBTS), Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra (WNEU), the regional cable news network NECN and NBC Sports Boston.

Here’s a short video NBC 10 posted on Twitter:

Edit: Did not see this post before. Always forget NBC is included in that thread.

I remember when CNBC Europe got added to NTL's analogue service in 2003 and coming across Squawk Box one morning when flicking through whilst eating my breakfast before going to college. Was not interested a jot in business news but the programme just seemed to be a mix of people messing about for hours I ended up tuning in most mornings. The good old days.

Loved the presentation and theme music. Sparks must have flied in the gallery with the director having to cut to multiple cameras without much warning with all the banter and not missing a beat.

US Squawk Box during the Mark Haines era was simply fantastic viewing. Like the European clip shown here, there were presenters who had banter between the biz analysis and interviews. I think it helped to relax the guests too.

The current Squawk Box Europe duo of Geoff Cutmore and Karen Tso are fine, but isn't the same.

Pretty sure Geoff Cutmore's been at CNBC Europe since it launched? I do miss his banter with Simon Hobbs.

Dare I say it made business news interesting. Surprised how much I got to know about financial markets. Certainly was better viewing than Bloomberg.

I believe he joined at launch before the merger with Dow Jones. To be fair to CNBC Europe, they have their best set to date and a fantastic wall.

I can remember when Europe and Asia had pretty awful sets and bland output in the 90s, the current output is great.
