National Weather on BBC1 - without microphone!

Just watched the 22:30 National Weather on BBC1 - no sign (and not a lot of sound!) of the presenter's mic - presumably it was lying on the floor! Anyway I couldn't see one, and imagine they normally wear a lapel mic. Apology made by Pres.

Surely there's a spare mic that could have been faded up?

Not when John's the only one in the weather studio

You never get that sort of problem when he's in pantomime in Datchet Village Hall.

Just goes to show that his bully was live and not pre-recorded!
Anyway we were treated to some great footstep sound effects.

I remember last year when he had either forgotten his microphone or dropped it and told viewers to 'talk amongst themselves' while he pinned it back.
