Although it is an awful lot, I dont think complaining would do much good.
Thats the amount they want to give to her, and she's accepted it so there's not much anyone else can do!
Does this £500,000 include the work shes already done - hosting Making Your Mind Up, Strictly Come Dancing, Welcoming In 2005, hosting the Bafta's, Breakfast and weekend bulletins?
She is distinctly average too. Not even an outstanding news presenter. She has sex appeal and a certain charm. But, ............
Juliette Foster at Sky is a far more credible - and yet another underused - presenter.
I think when i used the word 'complain' it was a bit too strong of a term. It's certainly not Natasha's fault she's been offered this amount.
I totally agree with what you say BBC World. To me I kinda sympathise with her as she does obviously struggle sometimes mispronouncing words, regularly looking very tired - and her picture in the paper at a previous nights celeb bash!! She certainly makes up for all that with her charm and she does come across as a genuinely nice friendly person.

Maybe she should get an early night occasionally then !
£1 million?! I'm sure I read that Fiona Bruce gets £250,000. A much more suitable figure considering she covers many programmes, but I have to say it's a lot of money.
However, over at ITV, Trev's allegedly earns £800k and, when he retires, his successor, I read, is tipped to be the
first
£1 million p/a newsreader.
Newscasters shouldn't discuss their nuptials live on air. It is not becoming, BBC!!!!!!!!!!
(Oops silly me, I forgot, Natasha is not a newscaster, she is an all round variety entertainer who happens to front Breakfast.................... )
Before you start slating Natasha, she was trying to stop Dermot from saying it but he persisted, it was only for about 7 seconds and she was very embarassed.
