No one said Mishal was taking over - it just happens that next week Mishal is on during the week. No one knows, but we assume Sian will take over.

You all may be grumbling but she's much better reading the news on something like the 6 as opposed to Breakfast. I'm surprised Mishal Hussein is taking over her role on Breakfast - I'd much rather have Sian instead of Natasha and then Kate Silverton on the weekends for Breakfast.

Natasha Kaplinsky before she puts her ton of make-up on. Skank.

So Anna Ford and Natasha are the same person, then, just with different make-up.

In the Radio Times she was scheduled off today, as she is all next week. Maybe the treks out recently on the Election Bus & Liverpool...plus fitting in her charity commitments were a tad too much in her early stages of pregnancy and having to leave her daughter, Ella.
I have to add…Boo for the Kapointlessly* taking over for Sophie’s maternity leave.
I agree with most of the posts in this thread that Sian would be better for a replacement, but the rumour I’ve heard (albeit 3rd hand via Sophie’s sister, Kate) is that she’s going to take at least a 2 year career break and the Six needed someone more high profile…
*Possibly, yet definitely plagiarised from some one on this site

Agree with Mizzb they should keep Sian on the 6 as cover for Sophie.
Why do we have to put with Kaplinsky for 6 months??.
Anyone know where Sophie was this evening??.

Some of the content of the posts above is hilarious, trying to second guess why a BBC newsreader wasn't on tv for one day.............I thought you were going to start talking about Sophie's swollen ankles, etc.........
Let's get real here and back onto tv related relevancies, for goodness sake.
Now............................I think Moira should do it!

Maybe a hint what might be to come:
Three presenters have been added to the "Presenter" section on the Breakfast website:
Kate Silverton. This means that she's going to become a regular face now on Breakfast
Susanna Reid has been added though she's on maternity leave at the moment
Simon McCoy has been re-added. He'd been on the site before but was removed last year

These career women, they wait until their mid thrities to get married then they're obsessed with popping some children out in a desperate race against infertility.

Thought you might like to know Natasha Kaplinsky is going to present the Six O'clock news when Sophie Raworth goes on maternity leave. She's expecting her second child.
