Perhaps not, but they are perfectly capable and they have all got to start somewhere in terms of gaining UK wide recognition. No one knew who Huw Edwards was until he started on the One years ago!! Nor Kaplinsky, until she started dancing on BBC1.

I love the description of Adrian and Katty as being "minor". LOL.

Adrian and Kitty are minor in that the wider british audience will not have heard of them - hence Stephen Cole making the papers when he filled in on strike day - most viewers were seeing him for the first time.

Also, despite what people think of Natasha on here - she'd done a fair bit of newsreading before going to the BBC - on Meridian, London Tonight, Sky News Live at Five.

So will the new male presenter join the Six at the same time as Natasha or before?

I *personally* would like to see Kate Silverton presenting the 6 O'Clock News. Saying that she's probably too good though, it's only a matter of time before Sky or ITV make her a big money deal.

To be fair many people haven't heard of Jane Hill or Matthew Amroliwala, if they don't watch News 24 they will only have seen them present the weekend bulletins, which, although they do quite often, they are not high-profile on BBC One.

Between the lines, "someone from her side" leaks the news that a quiet wedding is on the cards, so along come's a magazine deal which she says "I wanted to share my special day with all the viewers". Wink

awh,, hopefully OK or Hello - she's great much better than Sophie. Terrible statement about wanting a very quiet wedding nd wanting to do it in jeans. Wonder if that hubby -to -be really does know what he's let himself in for - what man/woman in their right minds would publicly admit to a quiet casual wedding. Is she embarrassed or something? She should shout it from the rooftops. She sure does say some wacky things sometimes but it's part of the appeal.

... just imagine it: Natasha & Husband's first dance could be turned into a whole new programme for BBC1's Saturday Night schedules:

Strictly Wedding Dancing !

Starting with a "First Dance" display by NK & Mr NK
then the ubiquitous "Drunk Uncle Grope" Tango contest
followed by "Best Chav Conga Line" section
and with an "Agadoo" special group choreography competition as the grand finale.

At the end of the show, NK could present the prizes, then throw a bouquet and waltz off into the sunset.

What do you think? I think this idea has, er, legs... Rolling Eyes
