Natasha Kaplinsky to the Six

Thought you might like to know Natasha Kaplinsky is going to present the Six O'clock news when Sophie Raworth goes on maternity leave. She's expecting her second child.

I think that says more about the quality of the Six than the quality of Natasha Kaplinsky.

Well ... in no way will she replace the excellent Sophie - why not Sian like last time? She didnt do very well but I dont think Kaplinsky will do much better - Jane Hill would have been my choice but I suppose Kaplinsky is higher up the pecking order---- will Sian do Breakfast then?

Channel 4 it is then... Who's the current director of the 6? How longs Natasha known him? (I cannot legally say anymore)

On another note Breakfast suddenly has this strange appeal. Sophie Raworth - Truly the saviour of Breakfast, Her and Marvin, Oh course!

I think that Natasha is a good choice. When she presents the weekend news she's much better than on Breakfast. And obviously she doesn't like getting up early in the morning as she always seems very tired on Breakfast.
I hope though that Sian will take over from Natasha on Breakfast.

I'm not so sure -Sian has lost her sparkle, I'd like to see Jane Hill on Breakfast, but I assume that Sian will become the new weekday presenter with Kate Silverton/Mishal Hussein doing the weekends.

Sorry, I don't see that at all. She still seems totally on form to me - especially when in the classic pairing with Bill.

In my opinion Sian never hada a sparkle she has always been quite dull - George always seems to work much better with Sophie! Sian would be better placed doing those small 2 min news headlines things in the mornings imho

What is all this nonsense about clasic pairing with Bill - the only true classic pairing were Jeremy and Sophie on Breakfast put Sian and Bill in the shade - Sian more like an overactive budgeri gar in the mornings shegives me haeadache !!#
