Breakfast - Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams (Mon-Thu) Charlie Stayt and Susannah Reid (Fri-Sun)
One - Fiona Bruce
Six - Dermot Murnaghan
Ten - Huw Edwards
Cover - George Alagiah
If my sources are correct, you won't be far wrong there.
When you say George is cover, do you mean for the ten? And if so, would that be permanent. And if that's so, would Fiona on the One be permanent?
When I suggested George be a cover I meant for all three programmes whenever it was needed. There would be the opportunity on some days whilst Fiona does Crimewatch and when others are off, but the thing to remember is that George already has BBC World commitments and said he wants to do more reporting. It would be far from a step down for him.
If in the event of there needing to be more permanent cover then there's a whole host of other presenters that could present including Jane Hill, Jon Sopel, Louise Minchin, Kate Silverton and Ben Brown.
What a ridiculous Breaking News story.. what next...??
BREAKING NEWS: COW SH*TS IN FIELD.
A Jersey Cow has excreted his bowels in a field near Henley on Thames.
So finally the Kerplunk has left the building. Her general presenting style came across as so false I wanted to head butt the TV.
*cue* sarky "why didn't you then?" comment
Showing the back end of a horse seemed very suitable for what was on the caption at the time. I'm glad I wasn't near a tv when they put this up or i don't know what I would have done.. I wonder if sky used their BREAKING NEWS for this yesterday.
Just watched last night's six ending, and it was a really odd. Natasha suddenly became the news again, like she had always wanted, but for the last time.
I don't know if Five is a good move for her, perhaps she got fed up with the celebrity status and wanted to be taken more seriously, but if that were the case she could have requested more reporting duties and shifts on News 24 or World.
The problem with Natasha is that she comes across as the type of presenter that does very little, who turns up only to present the show. I just get the impression she doesn't do any real journalistic work during the day. I mean, can you really imagien Natasha typing away at a computer in the Five newsroom all day, contacting her reporters and researching her stories? I just can't see it happening.
I really wish people would lay off Natasha, and stop speaking as if you know her. All his talk of her being some publicity-crazed, lazy and ruthless person is most probably a load of bullcrap.
Are we sure it was her last one? Can somebody look in the radio times for next week and see who's presenting the 6?
Oh for christs sake - we've told you - IT WAS HER LAST broadcast. How on earth is the fact that she may be listed in the Radio Times for next week gonna prove otherwise?
