hmm i wonder if tonight was her last broadcast....anyone know???

i think she's been on the publicity merrygoround for a few years and now she's married, settled and 35 is content to step back but i for one thought she'd be at the beeb forever. It was a big suprise. I wish her all the luck in the world and have checked my signal and can get C5 so will tune in to watch her.

Life goes on and i think Sian should do the 6 - she's always been the 'bridesmaid' as far as the 6 job is concerned and that breakfast slot must be a killer bearing in mind she has a baby at home.

Are you even too lazy to read back one whole page, you sad cow?

Dermot spoke as if it was in the closing goodbyes tonight.

Best bit of news we've had on the Six for absolutely ages.

I'd love to see a proper shake up and hope the BBC see this as an opportunity to have a soft re-launch and create:
DREAM TEAMS:
Breakfast - Bill & Kate (deputies Charlie & Suzannah)
One - Sophie (maternity) SO Jane Hill (deputy Louise)
Six - Dermot & Sian (deputies John Sopel & Louise)
Ten - Huw (deputy Fiona)

It was her last BBC Broadcast. Ironic that it was with Dermot - as she started with him at the BBC on Breakfast 5 years ago....

It further goes to show just how much "celebrity" and lack of seriousness now surrounds television news in the UK and, alas, quite hypocritical in some way, given that Moira Stuart was "dropped" due to her lack of joiurnalistic credibility.

Well much as i like Kirsty Young she is not a "trained" journalist. Kirsty joined BBC Scotland as a continuity announcer on Radio Scotland before moving to STV to co Present Scotland Today. However i like Kirsty and she is excellent at what she does as is Moira .

It says in all the articles that Natasha will present their five thirty and seven o'lock programs (or equivelents), but doesn't say she's sharing duties with Jon Suchet...

Is Jon going to leave or stay? And if Kate Gerbeau is staying, where's Matt gonna fit in? Is Helen Fospero going to stick with Sky or what?

So there's going to have to be a bit of an edit to the News 24 countdown then.

I never understood why they had Natasha reporting infront of the eye. Where as Huw does sometimes get out of the studio and report form Iraq or where ever Natasha very rarely did. It would have seemed smarter to me to have Natasha preparing in the TVC just before the data stream gets there...

Out of interest who'll replace her on the titles? If they included her in the titles, did they not know she'd be leaving? They weren't done that long ago and I would have thought Five would have been looking even while Kirsty was still there...?

not taking this bad news at all well [/quote]

Several posts suggest towards it but even so Nick Harvey was incredibly rude for no reason. Totally uncalled for! Exclamation
