For some reason, Winifred does seem to take any criticism of Ms Kaplinsky as a personal insult. I can only assume therefore that Winifred actually is Natasha Kaplinsky.

So may I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your award Winifred. It must be gratifying to know that an inability to read an autocue properly has not stood in your way.

No, I'm not Natasha (although I wouldn't mind being so just for one day). I'm Winnie. In fact I used to live in your hometown of Leeds when I was at the University of Leeds so I'm certainly not Natasha because she went to Oxford.

Hardly in a position to roll your eyes there, dear.

As has been said, there is room here for Natasha fans as well as those who loathe her presenting style. The gong she has been awarded is by no means an indication that you (or the awarding body) are "right".

As far as Natasha goes I'm a well wisher. In that I wish her no particular harm.
