It makes even less sense than the last backdrop. Far too much detail trying to be crammed in. They had a perfectly good almost live shot of the real newsroom a few years back, why not just stick to that?

Quick thought ...

Could this backdrop be being used as a 'safe' election backdrop so that any unexpected events in the newsroom aren't being shown live?

Well it may be busy, with lots of things going on .... but thats the reality of a newsroom !!! The previous virtual backdrop was far too quiet for my liking.

Dont think anybody means busy in the sense of lots of people working, but busy in the sense of too much detail to be able to understand it properly.

The previous one wasn't live so that's unlikely.

Surprised they didn't take the opportunity to reduce the amount of red to ward off the accusations of labour bias...
