BBC News is on BBC One now, but it doesn't look like BBC Two, ITV, or Channel 4 mentioned the news going into their respective programmes at 6 o'clock, unless anyone can confirm otherwise, with no mention on ITV's sporting coverage. Channel 5 had their news at 5 o'clock.

ITV were in the middle of their Euro 2016 coverage.

Makes sense for the NC to show Outside Source as the 6 has moved onto other stories now.

Picking up from other threads Labour MP Jo Cox has been shot dead this afternoon in Leeds. News of the shooting broke around 2pm, with her death confirmed around 5.15pm.

Broadcasting wise no news reports so far but obviously the lead story on the bulletins and news channels. Campaigning has been suspended for the EU Referendum and as a result the BBC have cancelled Question Time and This Week tonight.

The BBC News Channel will show Look North at 6.30pm.

If you flick between BBC News and Sky News you can hear each other's presenters in the background. Sky's reporter particularly loud on BBC News.

Channel 5 managed to announce it delayed during their bulletin, with a live from Andy Bell which cut into the statement from West Yorkshire Police.

The Six managed to lessen the impact of Cameron's tribute to Jo Cox by adding a mis-timed "Jeremy Corbyn MP" aston.

Also notable for Nick Robinson appearing in Studio E to comment, presumably as Laura Kuenssberg is out on the referendum campaigns. I was interested to see how they described him on the aston, but they didn't use one.

Ranvir Singh has tweeted that ITV News is on at 7.15pm.
