Surprised the Munich memorial service isn't being screened on terrestrial TV, not even in Granada land, who I'm sure just a few years ago would have opted out of the network for it.

The news channels are covering it, though with their graphics splashed over it - not so bad on N24, but inappropriate on Sky News - though both have now dropped most of them at the key point in the service.

Yes totally inappropriate for a rolling news channel to have graphics splashed over it... (?)

I've been driving most of the afternoon so I had to put up with it on Radio, BBC Radio Manchester was providing full coverage of the memorial and Key 103 and Xfm opted to it from 2.55pm until about 3.10pm. Although it's amazing to hear 3 Radio stations go totally silent at 3.04pm.

Although as sad as the event was, I'm surprised it has warranted so much coverage, but I think ITV was a little more Local I think Granada would have shown it, but I think they're giving Granada Reports to cover it in full tonight.

It was good to see the anniversary mentioned in Corrie tonight as well, what with it being a Manchester based soap.
