Here's a blueprint of the main part of 3A. If it's too small, you can go here and click on it to see it larger. The newsroom is to the left. I believe the Martin Bashir set was behind the wall that's at the bottom of the blueprint, or at least I remember reading that a while back. I'm not entirely sure though.

Also, fun fact— the huge wall of small monitors that make up the skyline shot in that first picture that Mouseboy posted are actually doors that lead to a storage area for other desks when they're not in use! You can see it marked in the right side.
You're also right about the studio above the Today studio— also known as 2A. It was the home of Countdown with Keith Olbermann. It has been returned to the Today Show though, I believe. I wouldn't be caught dead watching that show.
I'll give Ronan Farrow a chance, though it's a bit unappetizing how he's so carefully orchestrated his big entrance onto the world stage. I really think what this Guardian article had to say about him a few months back was spot on:
I also wish MSNBC went back to some semblance of a news network. Some of their point of view programming is good, especially Chris Hayes, but it's way too much when it's all it is all day long. The only shows they run that I would call straight news are First Look, Way Too Early (which are both on before 6am), Daily Rundown, and perhaps Chris Jansing's show.

Quote:
Along with his academic credentials and humanitarian awards, Ronan Farrow has, at the age of 25, jumped past all other genius in his peer group, and already been the protege of the late Richard Holbrooke at the State Department (himself a dedicated friend to celebrities), and then, later, in the New York Times tolerant description, "Hillary Rodham Clinton's special adviser for global youth issues".
Of course, if you believe being Hillary Clinton's "special adviser for global youth issues" is a real job, then you are the person for whom the Ronan Farrow story is being tailored.
