Moira is set to return!

The BBC is currently reviewing its decision to remove news reader Moira Stuart from her regular Sunday AM slot, after receiving criticism from a number of stars.

Jeremy Paxman, Andrew Marr and John Humphrys are among those who have come forward to criticise the move.

They discussed the issue while appearing on Question Time, when David Dimbleby accused the BBC of making "change for the sake of change".

After removing the distinguished newsreader from her regular slot on Sunday morning the BBC was widely accused of ageism.

However, the broadcaster is reportedly now in talks with Stuart about the possibility of a job on another BBC channel.

Which channel could she possibly be placed on? News 24?

BBC Four, BBC World, News 24 or BBC Two.

So basically you don't think she'll turn up on BBC Three, CBBC or CBeebies?

I've always loved how DS post news stories which in 99% of cases are just ripped from any other number of sources, without making any attempt to cite them whatsoever.

A letter in the Times today simply reads: "Bring Moira back or the Licence Fee gets it!"

Have to go about 2 minutes into the link and Moira is her usual brillant, unruffled, authoritative self

PrimeTime TV's simple spelling mistake in the main forum really sums all this up:

"How do you solve a problem like Moira?"

Not by caving in and giving her her non-existant job back!

I'm really glad the BBC are re-evaluating their decision to give Moira the push. I hope they end up re-instating her at least on Sunday AM, if not on the BBC Weekend News. I don't see any reason why she can't be allowed to do weekend and bank holiday BBC1 bulletins - she's been doing them for years, so obviously knows the ropes. It would be nice for the weekend bulletins to have a regular presenter.
