Can discussions on "mock" presenter/schedule lineups for news programmes, channels etc. be moved out of general discussion threads and into their own dedicated thread please? I am fed up of having to wade through "this is my dream schedule" and "this is how I would do it" or "this is who I think should present x, y and z".
Oh my, amen to that. I've had it up to my eyeballs with scrolling through pages and pages of some bizarre game of Fantasy News Channel. It's bad enough that we get seemingly endless commentary about who's presenting which bulletin or which segment of rolling news without having to read through a Radio Times' worth of imaginary schedules.
Oh thank you so much for starting this thread! One of my pet hates too (as you'll have seen on another thread).
There are two problems with them to my mind. Firstly they are sooooo long. It's fine posting to say, "I think News 24 should be blue not red", as this only takes one line and is easily read and, if you like, ignored. But scrolling through endless schedules is a pain. The other problem is that they confuse the situation as you don't know whether they are speculation or just wish lists. Take the Sophie on the One thread. I'd be interested to hear who will be doing the Six in her place, and what this may mean to the presenter line-ups on Breakfast and News 24. So every time I see a new post in said thread I have a look... but what is there? Another bloody presenter wish list!
This is what i would do to make TV Forum better...
- Ban everyone who feels they are higher then everyone else because they know all the techincal garbage
- One thread where we can discuss the news
- Ban people who savage people who make bad mocks, Mocks are only a bit of fun in my eyes. Its not like were entering a BBC make me a mock competition.
If you people cannot see the irony in this post well then im stuffed

Well said. There are a handful of people on here who think they own the place.
you are quite right, mocks are intended to be fun... and people should recognise this.
Sometimes, the best part of a mock is the CONCEPT of the idea, not how artisticly it is actually drawn.
And for the presenter lists, I think they should be in the mocks forum, and only in the newsroom if they have a factual basis ,i.e. insider information filled in a few places (and only a few), if necessary, with educated guesses.
