Can someone please explain how the mirror is used in that Sky News shot above. As in, where is the reflection etc?

Its a mirror along the wall, reflecting the other side of the studio, just like any normal mirror does.

The mirror must be to the left or behind the cupboards.

Is that it now, wow, its so small! (i dont know why I am surprised, I saw the pokey Coronation Street sets)

Its odd to think over 15 years of Sky News came from that "office".

It was about a year and a half ago now, I also visited it when it was in use. I also have a very dark photo of the Sky News desk because the light switch in the studio didn't actually work!

The Sky Sports newsroom is almost as big, if not bigger than the old Sky News Centre but the Sky News studio was bigger than the Sky Sports news studio.

It's very interesting at Sky - It looks like a lovely place to work.

I think im right in saying the old sky news studio is now used for Sky Sports News, which relaunched last weekend.

What more is there on the rumours of Sky building a Purpose Built centre for Sky Sports.

I understand they discussed which whether Sky Sports or Sky News got the new building, and Sky News had its new Centre built.

Does this mean Sky Sports is staying put, or was it just a choice of which was built first?

Nope - they are in the same place.

Sky News were actually in the middle of the Sky Sports complex - I think Sky Sports just built around Sky News but even now I don't think that the Sky Sports department 'own' the studio even though all of there programmes come from that block of the complex.

So no - I don't think that rumour is true.

The outside of the Sky Sports department - enhanced so you can actually see it.
