Not quite a ministerial broadcast, but a small piece of national crisis/TV history. It’s was an extraordinary period. No incessant captions plastered all over the screen while he was speaking, ‘explaining’ what he was saying, such as you get today. Just him, and a clean full frame uncluttered picture.
