Yes, Mike Embley and Chris Eakin both anchoring from N8 to the News Channel and World News on the story - apparently we're to hear from Tim Willcox very soon, although he is posting updates on Twitter.

ITV said they will keep viewers updated throughout the ....wait for it...bulletin (25 minute bulletin).

Edit, ITV will keep viewers updated throughout the night (apparently).

Hmm, have to say, bit frustrated that Tim isn't anchoring this Special. He's been out there for weeks, he's done a stellar job yet as it draws to a close, they ship in Matt Frei. Rubbish!

Totally agree, for me he's very unwatchable, unlike Tim.

But this is nothing surprising, in the end networks want their ''stat'' presenters to take the lead. Rolling Eyes

This story is huge in America, maybe that's why they have Frei there.

How long has the BBC News Channel had a BBC World News DOG? I'm sure it wasn't there at 22:00.

Only as we approached 23.00 BST. Am sure they will realize and remove it.

I've only just noticed it appear, and I've been watching for about 30 mins.
