The BBC News Channel currently has a programme simply called 'BBC News' with a generic description that is to run from 02:00 to 08:30 which means no BBC Breakfast on the News Channel tomorrow. I assume this will change at some point to be listed as a News Special.

From what I gathered from Twitter CNN will have continuous coverage throughout the night and tomorrow, Hala will anchor later tonight and tomorrow morning Monita and Zain will co anchor from 10 am.

They have 2 correspondents in Chile that I know.

Notice that BBC News' live shot of the mine is only 4:3. Sky News is 16:9 and in HD.

Sky News are advertising 'Non Stop Coverage' of the rescue kicking off at 22.00. I'm assuming with Andrew Wilson anchoring from Chile.

I take this will be broadcast from the the BBC World News Studio and with Tim and Matt in Chile. There has been no mention that Matt Frei will be presenting, but enough promotion that it will be with Tim.

Chris Eakin had a feed into the 10 on BBC 1 saying that the live coverage had started.

I'm getting audio but no video on the BBC News Channel iPlayer feed (tried IE8, IE9, Chrome and Firefox on three computers and two connections). Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Edit: Just to add that I've got no problems with seeing the video on the other channel feeds; it's just the News Channel feed that's not working for me.

Loving the MINERS RESCUED on screen graphic on Sky News, all we need now is some dramatic music and a full screen flash splash graphic everytime another miner comes out and you have a full on spoof news story!

At least it's not quite so obtrusive on Sky News HD. It runs to the right of Sky News logo, not under it.

Personally I'm finding this all incredibly surreal.

Yes, it's a big story. Yes, it's human interest. Yes, it deserves live coverage.

But for goodness sake, even the Cup Final doesn't get this much build-up.

Are they having problems connecting with Tim Willcox? Why haven't we heard from him yet?

22.19 and Matt Frei makes an appearance, but where is Tim?
