How long has Tim Wilcox been on BBC News now? This must be a long shift, even for him.

This Morning also had the same. I guess it's quite handy that ITV have a lot of live programmes during the day, so can dip and out of live pictures.

I wonder did BBC World pick up Tim Wilcox welcoming viewers to the BBC News at One.
Last night there was a 4 way similcast of events at 00:00 UK time with Matt Frei welcoming viewers from across the UK on the BBC News channel and BBC Two (it was actaully BBC One but we can forgive Matt for that) across the word on BBC World (Not BBC World News Matt?) and on BBC America. So basically World News America was cancelled to carry this coverage. That's a lot of homes watching BBC coverage.

It would seem that it's BBC World News team that's leading the coverage of the extraction across all of the BBC News outputs which makes a lot of sense. It's always fun to watch how they deal with the similcasts.

Interesting moment on BBC One/BBC News just after 13:00. Both channels were taking audio of Tim Wilcox speaking but they were both showing their own pictures, BBC One showing Tim Wilcox talking and BBC News showing the mine.

actually, during UK overnights... it was something like this.
BBC News Channel - Main broadcaster
BBC World News
BBC One
BBC America
and ABC News 24 in Australia.

and yes, BBC World News America was replaced by the special coverage, though it somewhat differ if you are on East Coast and on West Coast, because after the 7pm ET coverage the coverage was cut-off, but on the 7pm PT airing, the just continued throughout the night.

Thought BBC World ran overnights since they moved them to N8?

nope, because the BBC World News DOG was just superimposed on the BBC News DOG + Clock. I noticed that they do a fade-in/fade-out on the BBC WN DOG every 30mins.

but the usual thing that BBC do during overnight was using the clean feed...

Tim has been on since yesterday morning, with the odd hour off air. Impressive!

Not really. He's charges off a solar panel and uses a "Power Saver" mode.

That's because I believe the news channels gallery decamped to N9 . I believe all galleries have been in action today altgough I could be wrong.
