I thought we weren't going to see the miners reaching the top?

They covered the hole with a flag, [some of] the media booed and they removed the flag.

Interesting. With the single feed operation at the tunnel itself I'd assumed they would be able to enforce a media blackout, but I guess not.

And the first miner is out. Smile

There we go, that is what we have all been waiting for. Sky News' miner counter ticks round from 0 to 1.

Is the initial rescuer still down there? So it's 33 people down there?

And now the medic's going down there so it's 34.

I notice up until 5mins ago Sky News Radio were simulcasting the main Sky News TV feed for radio stations but they've pulled it for some reason now.

Looks like I'm the only one here - covering it on the radio.

After AC360, CNN International has taken-over the coverage, simulcast on the Domestic channel, with Michael Holmes and Colleen McEdwards.

It seems that CNN International can also use the equipment in the new Atlanta studio.

EDIT: Can anybody tell us if BBC Breakfast in airing, or they are still showing the Rescue?

I wish they would cue in Tim Willcox properly at the TOTH, they're not accounding for the satellite delay so the titles play and theres at least 10seconds before Tim receives his cue (It wouldnt be so bad if the little underscore off the titles didnt abbruptly stop and should fade). The BBC are terrible at this sort of thing and it happens all too frequently with O/B's.
