I'm sorry Mr Frei but do we really need to know when Tim Willcox goes to the loo?

I'm not sure how good the facilities are there... I'm sure he can find some hole in the ground to use if need be though Laughing

Ah, it was quite funny. The BBC presentation team seem to be embracing the circus that this has become without being too flippant. They do have quite a bit of time to fill after all.

Are we expecting this to be non stop rolling across Sky News and the BBC News channel over the next 24hrs or so?

NB - funny Matt Frei saying all the outlets the simulcast is going out on.

Perhaps for viewers of PBS in the US and ABC 24 in Australia, who Matt Frei mentioned in his welcome.

I really wish the BBC would get the hang of how to do opt-ins and opt-outs properly. Saying: "That's it for now" at the end of the hour only to say: "Well welcome back" five seconds later.

A slightly complicated configuration tonight (Matt just reeled off how many stations were taking the coverage) so there's some understanding of it, but it looks ridiculous when it happens on a routine occasion like BBC One taking BBC News Channel bulletins.

BBC News channel viewers and BBC2 (Simulcasting the BBC NC), PBS, World News, ABC News 25 Australia I believe.

Although World News and the UK Domestic News channel have been covering it nonstop for the past few hours.

One question - is the output being managed in N8 or N6 gallery?

NB - Tim now speaking in Spanish on the news channel. Also Matt Frei appears to speak Spanish too.

Also seems that Tim and Matt are fighting for the presenter-anchor spotlight in some parts.

Actually quite refreshing to see both Matt and Tim interviewing the Bolivians live in Spanish.

And nice to see them staying on the wide shot for the TOTH this time Smile

Means that N6 may get a clean. Wink

Anyone know how the news channels are going to cover this over the next 24hrs, is it going to be rolling nonstop?

BBC wise, wouldn't it make sense for the domestic BBC News channel to simulcast BBC World News' coverage in the long term - than have split outputs and everyone fighting for the reporters/presenters on scene?

I would assume that it would be managed by the N8 studio/gallery than N6's as it is more flexible and a bit better at handling multiple input VT Sources?

In the BBC VT of how the miners will be rescued, is it me, or does he start by saying "a paramedic was lowered in order to check the conditions and finalise the rescue order"?
