Actually the thing to look out for in the countdown is if they've remembered to program it in as "2 minutes" then "1 minute" (pural -> singular). Bound to have forgotten.

Or of course they might have some mad sequence counting down from 59 seconds, a bit like a game show.

See previous pages for my comments on how stupid I think all these countdowns are. Perhaps it makes a few people stay with the channel though..

The countdown was probably made ages ago ready to be put on air (excluding the time of course). Somehow I think they've forgotten to change it to singular.

It's what makes Sky different and interesting. And it's a cunning ploy - if you're told it'll only be 15 minutes, you'll keep watching as you think it's imminent.

Maybe the BBC should have a countdown and use their ident for the last 60 seconds...

Indeed. So, from the comments posted here so far, it appears Sky is providing the best coverage, and ITV is seriously lagging?

N24 say they have until 9.45pm our time to get to the court. That's 21 minutes at the time of posting, not the 7 Sky are going with. Risky business, this countdown malarky.

Things like this where they give a predicted time are never accurate, it's typical...
