The major flaw in the ITV News Channel taking MSNBC has just emerged - they've cut away for breaking news of a plane crash in a residential area. ITV are now talking over that - let's hope that isn't something rather more serious...

Martin Stanford doesn't seem to have any feedback, he keeps asking the gallery what pictures are on-air.

Sky News still has the OTT countdown. Catches people's attentions though.

Consensus on Radio Five Live (not sure what time they went rolling) is that these 9.30 predictions are a bit rubbish - ie. it takes 40 minutes to get from Neverland to the court, delays for everyone getting in, police arrangements etc.

Apparently there is an audio feed from the court... (not that I've been following this trail much I must admit).

For non-digital viewers: BBC News 24 going with some helicopter shots (a few mins after Sky got their feed up)

The same 'chopper' it would appear.

Inset used when N24 went to a recorded summary.

Radio 5 are blatantly watching Sky News, because they said to their correspondent "A lot of TV stations over here are reporting the verdict could be as soon as 22 minutes, is that over optimistic?". They seem to reckon it'll be more like 45 minutes, taking it very close to the BBC 10'o'clock news.

I counted 7 sat-trucks outside Neverland.

What are they going to do when he doesn't make it to the court on time - count backwards?! Laughing

Of course they are; all the media watch and listen to the rest of he media, especially at times like these.

Chris Eakin saying "If you're just joining us - this is BBC News 24 and BBC World."

It's a pretty surreal event to watch, but I wonder what some World viewers are making of it all.

Actually the thing to look out for in the countdown is if they've remembered to program it in as "2 minutes" then "1 minute" (pural -> singular). Bound to have forgotten.

Or of course they might have some mad sequence counting down from 59 seconds, a bit like a game show.

See previous pages for my comments on how stupid I think all these countdowns are. Perhaps it makes a few people stay with the channel though..
