BBC World News has to make it Breaking!?

Loving how TV3 have covered the CNN straps. Actually looks well and works!

Euronews is also covering proceedings, they're putting it out 4:3 letterbox rather than cropping it.

BBC World News covering it and all? Have they been covering it as much as the BBC News Channel?

If they hadn't changed their slogan, the old one "Putting News First" means nothing at this particular moment in time.

From what has been posted elsewhere, it's a joint World/News 24 (yes, I know) programme, produced by World.

the clock below the LIVE dog is not there, so it's obvious that it's a simulcast.

Just in case you're wondering...

TV3 and RTÉ Two in Ireland both staying with the coverage - TV3 had planned on ending at 7pm and RTÉ aimed to stop at 7:30pm. TV3 are relaying CNN's coverage with a studio wraparound, RTÉ are taking the AEG feed with commentary from Eurovision Song Contest commentator Marty Whelan.

You obviously haven't seen Sky News' ticker which considers the ability to watch the memorial in HD on Sky Arts 1 as a "News Alert".

E! have this scheduled until 10pm. I'm sure its not going to go on that long is it?

Once again BBC Two mess up their EPG. Hope no one is recording this from that source.

If it does, then I wonder what BBC HD will do at 9pm? Will they continue the BBC Two simulcast, or will they break away from the Jackson coverage to simulcast Torchwood on BBC One instead?

EDIT: Oh, that's it anyway.

I think its entirely justified to broadcast this on BBC Two until its conclusion. No matter what your opinions, it is a major news story.

Whether it should be on the News Channel as well is another matter. Perhaps they should have dipped in and out, while also covering other stories.

BBC2's coverage has finished. The next progamme to be shown is "Coast".
