No, Moira Stuart has not gone into hiding, he was talking about sexism, and the fact that it has gone too far.
I wholehardedly agree with MBs comments, in this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4155228.stm
People need to realise that positive discrimination (i.e. choosing a person for a job just because they are in a minority group to fill quotas etc) is just as bad as any discrimination. The only fair way to give a job is to choose the best applicant, even if you do end up having an all white or all male workforce.
If, for example, we take the BBC News, the main anchors are:-
Huw Edwards, Fiona Bruce, Sophie Raworth, George Alagiah, Darren Jordan, Anna Ford, Dermott Murnaghan, Sian Williams, Bill Turnbull and Natasha Kaplinsky.
Precisely half of these are female. Precisely half of these are male. Coincidence? I think not. There are clearly some women who are only in their jobs because they are women, and the BBC thinks they have to be represented in this way, even though there are many other male newsreaders who may be better.
There is also the unspoken rule that a pairing on any bulletin (network or N24) has to be male-female. This is unfair. I happen to *know* that Huw Edwards and Jon Sopel would make an excellent pairing for the six, but this cannot happen because of this rule.
The fact is, positive discrimination is just as bad as discrimination itself, and has to be stopped.
Oh, and Asa: hurry up and get some female mods before the PC Police come for you!!!
