On Friday, I watched Meridian Tonight and noticed that they had a lot of black in their title sequence. I thought that all the regional news title sequences were exactly the same?

It's been like that ever since they moved into new studios. The colour on the bulletin in general is also much worse than it used to be, it's too bright and sharp.

Which version did you watch and on what platform? I regularily watch Meridian Tonight (South) and haven't noticed any black on analogue, but when I watched it online, East, West & South had black in the title sequences instead of the normal blue. Confused

I watched it on Sky digital.

I watch the South edition. I never watch it on analogue, so I can't comment on that, but it does look really bad on digital.

Oops, I look like a fool now, I just watched Meridian Tonight... and they have black in the sequence. It wasn't like that at the beginning of Northam? It doesn't look very 'professional', unless it is delibrately modified?

Above is a mock-up of the Meridian News GMTV aston, which has no colour in the squares, do the other regions do this as well?

Cheers,
