Your're probably not a cat either I am guessing? I don't suppose you want to expand on what you actually do to try and save this thread?

I was under the impression that there were a lot more people than this, in one way or the other, involved in News even if it just IT related?

Yes, but they don't necessarily want to broadcast who they are or what they do. If you read the forum for a while you will soon pick up who the TV professionals are and roughly what area they might work in.

There are - but you're not likely to get people to say too much, and its actually a little rude to pry.

Instead of asking, just read the forum regularly and you will begin to work out who is in the industry and who isn't.

EDIT: You beat me by one minute Londoner, but our advice is the same.
