Matt Barbet to leave 5 News

maybe its an acknowledgement that barely anybody will miss 5 News when its not there.

I don't know for certain either way, but at a guess maybe they are sorting out the Wright Stuff set and doing various rehearsals during that downtime? AIUI, The Wright Stuff will be sharing the 5 News studio.

Not that I agree with nothing more than quick updates for over two weeks, but 5 News isn't shutting down entirely for the period. 5 News Weekend as normal this weekend, evening updates during the week next week and a mid afternoon update on Saturday 23rd listed halfway through a film. Not checked schedule after that

As a contrast though I'm sure it was 10 years ago that Channel 5 had a normal weekday structure to their Christmas Day schedule, complete with two 30 minute news bulletins

Today was Claudia Liza's first edition of 5 news. Did anyone get anything captured as I can't find it on My5.
