I know Headline News has moved away somewhat from it's original concept but surely the entire point of it is to offer a decent round up of the days news whilst all the other news channels are focusing one live event, something many people probably weren't too interested in watching for the full day..
It beats back-to-back episodes of Forensic Files with some token newscasts.

To be fair to HLN, it is now live until 8:00pm on weekdays. And it isn't 150% politics à la CNN Domestic...
