We've had the perching, standing and of course sitting at the desk - so perhaps they can put a bed in the studio for the Nightly News and have Mark presenting it lying down, then signing off with a simple "Good night" with the lights turning off and Mark nodding off to sleep!

And of course Felicity would be jumping into bed with him for the nights sporting activity!

And talking about that, I wonder with Trevor McDonald leaving if we'll see a fall in the number of pregnancies at ITV News?

This is a really bizarre thread. What is it supposed to be doing?????

"From Moira Stuart and from me..........................have a peaceful weekend......" (Sissons, 1990)

"That's it, that's all" (Hayton, 1998)

"That's the news from us tonight. Goodnight". (Gall)

Given that it will finish at 11pm, and this seems to be around the time the News Channel switches to recorded programming, how about:

"Over on the ITV News Channel now, a chance to catch up with all the news you might've missed an hour ago. See you tomorrow, or repeated again in 30 minutes on the News Channel".

I quite like Media Monkey's suggestion at the Guardian, based on that bit in Anchorman:

"**** you, Tunbridge Wells!"
