"Are we still on?"

or

"Thanks to both of you tuning in, we'll be back at the same time tomorrow. There WILL be cake. G'night all."

He could perhaps add a daily random word to a standard closing sentence. This would make people tune in.

Monday: "That was Monday's Nightly News bracket, good night".
Tuesday: "That was Tuesday's Nightly News splash, good night".

etc

Well with the prospect of Mark doing the news and Felicity doing the sport, maybe they'll abandon the idea of having a closing line and they'll just have a play fight instead. Or maybe Mark will take his mask off to reveal that he's actually a stunning blonde lady.

"That was was today tonight, from all of us here good evening and thank you for watching."

I like the 'today tonight' bit. And it also incorporates his current 'thank you for watching', which although he doesn't want to use when he takes over, I think is very good and different to other presenters sign offs.

Maybe he could do a Terrence and Phillip style thing where he trumps a few times and then laughs at his own flatulence. Just a suggestion.

Some good ideas coming here, I'm real proud of y'all.
