Seeing as Mark Austin is looking for a new catchphrase for when he takes over the ITV Nightly News in January, I thought it would be most helpful if we were to give a few suggestions.
Here are some I came up with:
"That was the news. Happy now?" (Day Today inspiration there)
"Night, yer b*stards."
"Sweet dreams, cherubs."
"That was the news, have a good snooze." (My personal favourite)
"Peace out, me homies."
Admittedly they're not very good, but let's have a whipround and see what anyone else can come up with.
Please note: This thread is purely for comedy purposes. Please do not attempt to post boring ones like "A very good evening to you." That's not very funny.
