Absolutely fantastic signing.

Aye. I think we all knew that was coming, I.e. Sky News, in one form or another.

Good signing indeed.

A good move for all involved - he'll be great for Sky, and he obviously fancies living in the US for a bit.

That is a good signing and a good role for him. Being out and about reporting is what he does best.

Very good news. There was talk before he had.

I would have thought he would be made US Editor rather than the less grandeur title of US Correspondent.

It will be interesting where this move to Sky takes him. I believe medium term (I know his contract is only 1 year) his future with Sky will be in on-location presenting. Sky are dearly missing Jeremy Thompson for this currently and believe Mark would be the ideal replacement given his own incredible career.

There's a very good reason why he won't have that title, which will become apparent in due course (... and no, it's not because there are already plans to re-import him as a studio presenter).

What do you think that reason is?

I don't think - I know, but it involves someone's personal life, so I'm not at-liberty to comment further.

A good appointment. Will be good to see Mark on TV again and also a good reason to watch Sky News.

I think the loss of big names last year has affected Sky News.

Having Mark there will bring quality to Sky News again.

Perhaps it will be more of a part-time role with Mark dividing his time between Washington and London and with it the inability to take on the full time nature of being a US Editor.
