Entirely agreed, I get the distince impression that those who criticise her have little knowledge of what she actually did for the country. She was a great leader and I wish her a speedy recovery.

Agreed. Whilst I may of hated Maraget Thatcher as a Leader there is absolutely no need for the comments made above about "Burning Her". She's a frail old women. Now grow up it is absoluetly disgusting to recommend such an idea of a party.

Well I disagree about her having any beneficial legacy to her credit, but that is a political discussion. I have no sympathy for her, because she had little sympathy when she was in power. So many good people lost jobs, homes, and money, thanks to that awful woman, and her sidious party. Whilst I dont wish death upon anyone, the day she does die, will not instill a single grain of remorse, loss, or sympathy from me, or my family. So if you believe I am wrong to enjoy seeing the demise of someone I consider to be cruel, then so be it...

You make it sound like she is an evil woman who was hell-bent on destroying the lives off all people in the country when she was in power. We all know that's not true. Yes, people lost jobs when she was PM, but things would have been a lot worse had she not done some of the things she did. I'm guessing from what you say, Martin, that you have some personal experiences that give you the opinion you have, but you need to look at the bigger picture - yes, she did a lot of unpopular things when she was in power, but at the end of the day they were all for the good of the country as a whole.

I'd like to see how she has done any good for the 'country as a whole' and yes my family suffered directly due to her policies. Your describing her as an evil woman, well that is how I see her, a bit mellodramatic, but I can sit comfortably with that description.

One could argue that many people are still losing their jobs, homes and money because of Tony Blair.

But don't let the facts get in the way of a good argument eh?

Indeed! I mean, we are having to sell our house and buy a smaller one due to TB's love of increasing taxes, but you don't hear me wishing death upon him. And don't get me started on top-up fees!

Lets make it clear, My distaste of Mrs Thatcher the Money Snatcher, does not equate in total admiration for Mr Blair. He hasn't delivered all he promised, I may never be able to return to University because of his policies, and may never own a home. But Labour's beliefs as a whole, do put the unfortunate, and the desperate before those who can fend for themselves, and Blair wont be here forever. As a whole, politics hasn't enough variation to suit everyone, and so apathy runs rampant, but lets not move off topic, when Margaret (to be polite) finally does pass over, how will life be worse, or better?

Have you been looking in the thesaurus? There's a lot of words there that are impressive, but don't quite fit right.

Well, we don't have impossibly large amounts of unemployment (I am currently seeking work without success) people who do lose work, can be retrained, more families are finding council homes (I was raised in a one bedroom flat in a family of 5), anyone who sells their homes, will have enough money to buy new homes (if they can find them).

Freedom of speach, is one of those areas where Tony Blair is slowly gaining his handbag, but we dont have police beating protestors, or strikers for fulfilling their rites.

Straying back to Maggie, who's going to help me organise the street parties for when she snuffs it? I'll buy the balloons and paper plates.

I'll bring Jelly. And my CD of the Wizard of Oz. Ding Dong the witch is dead.

Should the day come, I'm tempted to set up speakers in front of the local Conservative Party headquarters, and blast that out at full volume Laughing
