Sky have made up the ground now with both James Matthews and Mike McCarthy being able to hear negotiations between Moat and the police. Lets hope they have a camera with them.
I'm not quite sure I'm comfortable with what I'm watching here. John Sopel is trying to interview the daughter of the woman who's mum is trapped in her house because the police have Moat at gunpoint somewhere nearby. He's trying to interview her while she's trying to call her mum - with occasional cutaways of heavily armed police driving around. It doesn't seem right to broadcast such interviews live - and it must be pretty frightening for kids to watch.
This is amazing. I'm stunned at how BBC News are forcing their way into what I presume would otherwise be a very emotional conversation between mother and daughter.
